Changing the Mailbox Size for an Email Account in Plesk

Learn how to change the mailbox size for an email account in Plesk. When a mailbox reaches its size limit it stops receiving new email, so raise the limit or remove old messages before that happens.

Steps

  1. Log in to Plesk via your Zeniar Portal
  2. Select Mail from the left-hand menu
  3. Click the email address you'd like to change
  4. On the General tab, find Mailbox and select Another size
  5. Enter the new size and choose the unit, for example 5 GB
  6. Click OK

Please note: A mailbox cannot be larger than the default size set for your hosting plan. Email storage also counts towards the disk space of your hosting account. See Checking Disk Space Usage in Plesk

Note: To free up space without raising the limit, log in to Webmail, remove messages you no longer need and empty the Trash folder. See Accessing Your Email via Webmail

Your email account now has the mailbox size you set.
