Choosing LiteSpeed Cache Settings for WordPress
Learn how to choose settings for the LiteSpeed Cache plugin. The plugin has many options, but it also has presets that set them all for you. The Essentials preset is a safe starting point for almost every website.
Steps
- Check that the LiteSpeed Cache plugin is installed. See Speeding Up WordPress with LiteSpeed Cache
- Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard. See Logging in to WordPress from the Zeniar Portal
- Select LiteSpeed Cache from the left-hand menu, then click Presets
- On the Standard Presets tab, find Essentials and click Apply Preset
- Confirm when asked. Your current settings are saved first, so the change can be undone
- Open your website in a private or incognito window and check that it looks and works as before
Please note: The Essentials preset switches on page caching, longer cache times and browser caching. It works entirely on our server. The other presets include features that rely on an outside online service, so we recommend staying with Essentials and adding any extras yourself.
Note: To go back to your earlier settings, open Presets again and use the History list at the bottom of the Standard Presets tab.
Your WordPress website is now using the Essentials LiteSpeed Cache settings.
