Restoring Your Website from a Backup in Plesk
Learn how to restore your website from a backup in Plesk. You can restore everything in the backup, or only the part you need, such as one website or one database.
Steps
- Log in to Plesk via your Zeniar Portal
- Select Websites & Domains from the left-hand menu
- Click Backup & Restore under Files & Databases. If you have more than one domain, expand any of them first
- Click the Creation date of the backup you'd like to restore
- Under What do you want to restore?, select All objects (entire system) to restore everything, or Selected objects to restore only part of the backup
- If you chose Selected objects, pick the Type of object to restore, for example Sites or Database, then click the items you want so they appear under Selected
- Under Restoration options, leave Configuration and contents of the selected objects selected
- Click Restore
- Wait for the restore to finish, then visit your website to check it
Important: Restoring replaces your current files, databases or mailboxes with the copies in the backup. Anything added or changed since the backup was made is lost. If you might need the current version, create a new backup first. See Creating a Backup of Your Website in Plesk
Your website is now restored to the state it was in when the backup was made.
