Uploading Your AI-Built Project to Plesk
Learn how to upload a website or app built with an AI tool to your hosting account using the Plesk File Manager, so it is live on your domain.
Steps
- On your computer, compress your project files into a single .zip file. Leave out the node_modules and .git folders if your project has them
- Log in to Plesk via your Zeniar Portal
- Select Files from the left-hand menu
- Open the httpdocs folder for your domain
- If the folder still contains the default index.html placeholder page, tick the checkbox next to it and click Remove
- Click Add New, select Upload File and choose your .zip file
- Tick the checkbox next to the uploaded .zip file, click Archive and select Extract Files
- Check that your project files sit directly inside httpdocs. If they were extracted into a subfolder, open it, tick all of the files, click Move and select httpdocs
- Tick the checkbox next to the .zip file and click Remove
- Visit your domain in a web browser to check that your project loads
Important: Always remove the .zip file after extracting it. A copy of your whole project left in httpdocs can be downloaded by anyone who guesses its name.
Note: For a site built with React, Vue or Vite, upload the contents of the build output folder (usually dist or build), not the source files.
Your project files are now on your hosting account.
